Hunterston Bulk Terminal in Ayrshire has been designed by Fergusson Coal to process a wide variety of solid fuels to meet the specific needs of customers in the industrial, domestic and international markets.

Fergusson Coal have established an efficient, reliable & cost effective facility for the preparation, grading and analysing of the fuel before distribution to the industrial, wholesale and retail markets.

Hunterston has the facilities to handle large vessels and provide an extensive area for stocking raw & finished coal products.

With an initial investment of £1.5 million in new preparation plant and a further £4 million in stocks of specialist coals to provide a secure source of supply, the large facility has been set up to handle increasing tonnages and has lead to securing long term employment in the area. Further investment of £2 million has been made on CAT and POWERSCREEN equipment.
